This California Three-Hour Notary Education Course is a comprehensive, State-Approved Online Notary Training Course that meets California's statutory notary education requirements for renewing notaries.
IMPORTANT: If you are a first-time applicant for a California notary commission, or if you were previously commissioned but have allowed your commission to lapse, or if you have never taken an approved six (6) hour California notary education course, then you MUST take the six (6) hour course instead of this three (3) hour course for renewing notaries.
This three-hour course covers the knowledge points students must learn in order to pass California's mandatory notary exam.
Each student will have 3 weeks to complete the course from the date of registration! Upon finishing the California Three-Hour Notary Education Course, each student will be issued the Proof of Completion certificate that is required for application processing.
Any RENEWING notary applicant appointed on or after July 1, 2005, is required to complete a 3-hour California refresher education course prior to reappointment.(Government Code section 8201(a)(3) and (b))
